Maybach is the super luxury brand of Mercedes and till now we have seen the Maybach name associated with the S-Class but now it has added an SUV into its range. The GLS is the biggest and the most luxurious SUV in the Mercedes range hence naturally it is the perfect canvas for getting the Maybach badge. Meet the GLS 600 Maybach.

It is one of the most luxurious SUVs in the world and also looks the part with the classic Mercedes star on the hood along with the stunning Maybach radiator grille with the pinstripe effect. There are special styling details including two-paint paint schemes and massive 22/23inch wheels. The real deal is on the inside and access to the opulent interior is via electronically extending running boards.

The interior takes the standard GLS and turns up the volume in terms of pure luxury. There are two massive reclining rear seats while the dash is finished in Nappa leather. Of course personalization is possible with leather fitting being customized. An electronic panoramic sliding/tilting sunroof with an opaque roller blind is standard, along with heated and ventilated massaging seats. There is also a fixed console at the rear which is available with extending, folding tables and even a refrigerator with space for champagne bottles. Silver champagne flutes are also there. There is also rear seat entertainment, a dedicated fragrance developed for this car, special wood trim, 64 colour ambient lighting, a Burmester 3D surround sound audio system, MBUX, twin screens, etc.

The seats are special at the rear compartment especially, with seats 4.7 inches (120 mm) being further back than they are in the standard Mercedes-Benz GLS. The outer rear seats have foot rests and can be inclined backwards up to 43.5° are ideal for deep relaxation on long journeys. There is also a massage system for the rear seats along with being ventilated plus having the chauffeur package and electronically operated roller sun blinds. The amount of features and luxuries on board is too long to detail and it is quite easily the most luxurious SUV in the world right now.

Air suspension along with a dedicated Maybach drive program plus e-active body control makes this SUV a comfortable place to be plus noise insulation means that now it is even quieter. Powering this luxurious SUV is a V8 with a 48-volt system EQ Boost which makes 550hp. Prices start at Rs 2.4 cr and that makes it great value with the sheer amount of luxury on board.
